Researchers found veggies like Spinach and Kale which are rich in antioxidants are good for human eyes and protect against any damages like hot sunlight, cigarette smoke and any other air pollution.
Basically, leafy veggies are rich in lutein and zeaxanthin (plant pigments) which helps reducing the risk of developing macular degeneration and cataracts
Egg yolk is a primary source of lutein, zeaxanthin, and zinc. This helps in reducing the macular degeneration risk just like the leaf veggies
Fishes
Fishes such as Salmon, Sardines, Mackerel, Halibut and Tuna are very rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids, which then helps in reducing the risk of developing /increasing eye related diseases.
A study from Johns Hopkins stated that "People who had a diet of high in Omega-3 fatty acids were much less likely to develop any Age related Macular Degeneration"
